Your facts and rules, checked on every draft

Knowledge and skills is what the crew knows about your business and the rules it writes by. The company profile holds your facts, competitors and the claims you will not make. Skills are reusable playbooks. Guardrails are checked on every article, fix, pitch and reply before anyone can approve it, and a draft that breaks one is stopped.

The question has been open since 8 Sep: the crew does not invent a fact it was not given.

How does the crew use what you tell it?

Three places under Customize, each doing one job. None of them changes what is measured.

  1. Company: the facts

At setup the crew reads your homepage, /about and /pricing and drafts only what those pages state, each field naming its page. Drafts stay marked drafted until you confirm them.

  2. Skills: the playbooks

A skill is a named instruction for one recurring job: a weekly summary, a competitor brief. The second time you retype an instruction, it should be a skill.

  3. Guardrails: the rules

Compliance rules stop a draft that breaks them. Voice rules send it to review. Words to avoid stop any draft that uses them, matched as whole words.

  4. Every draft gets a verdict

Passed, Review, Stopped or Not checked, for the exact text that was checked. A stopped or unchecked draft cannot be approved by anyone, over the dashboard, the API or MCP.

Why does the crew need your own facts?

Engines already repeat facts about you from listings you never wrote. This answer describes Attensira from third-party comparison pages. The crew writes only from your profile and sources it can cite, so a missing fact becomes a question, not a guess.

What goes in the company profile?

The things you would otherwise paste into every chat. Written as rules a draft can be checked against, not as marketing copy.

What goes in the company profile?
What you sell, and to whomThe product, the buyer and the words you use for your category. “Never call it a platform” does work; “we are innovative” does not.
Brand and valuesYour spoken name, tagline, colours and logo for listings, scripts and charts, and the values drafts must not contradict.
CompetitorsEach tracked rival adds an Against field: why a buyer would choose you over them, used on every comparison page about them.
Reporting standardThe tone of your reports and who reads them. It never overrides the report rules: no movement a re-read did not prove.
Facts you statedAnswers you give in the Inbox are kept, and every run reads your newest 40 of them.
What the crew remembersSeparately, the crew keeps its own nightly notes about your workspace on every plan. Yours are the rules; its notes are memory.

What can knowledge and skills not do?

It changes how the crew writes, never what it measures. That separation is what keeps the numbers worth reading.

  • It does not change mention rate, citation rate or source share. Those are measurement, not configuration.
  • A profile line that says you lead the category does not turn an unmeasured cell into a number.
  • A skill that asks for a metric that does not exist, such as a brand rank, gets an honest gap rather than an invented figure.
  • There is no override button. A stopped draft moves only when it is revised or the rule is changed.
  • Built-in skills are maintained by Attensira and cannot be edited; you write your own beside them.

What does the crew ask when a fact is missing?

It asks instead of guessing. A draft that needs a fact the crew does not have waits on a question to you, in the Inbox beside the rest of the work.

What else do people ask about knowledge and skills?

Does the company profile change my numbers?
No. It changes how the crew writes, not what is measured. Mention rate, citation rate and source share are untouched, and sampling stays the same: each prompt, engine and country is read at most once a day.
What happens when a draft breaks one of my rules?
The crew is told the verdict straight away and revises once if it can keep the rule without losing the point. A draft that is still stopped cannot be approved by anyone. If an article is stopped twice, the crew asks you in the Inbox what it should say instead.
What if the check could not run?
The draft is Not checked, never passed, and it cannot be approved, published or sent until a check finishes. One Inbox row says how many drafts are waiting, with a Retry button.
What do I get on Starter?
The company profile, guardrails and the check on every draft. Writing your own skills shows an upgrade state that names Growth. If you move down a plan, the rules you wrote stay and every draft is still held to them.
How do I write a good guardrail?
Make it checkable. Put the situation in its When line, narrow Where to the kinds of draft it is about, and list forbidden words as explicit chips. Avoiding “cheap” does not stop “cheaper”; words are matched exactly, ignoring case.

Tell the crew once. Every draft is held to it.
