Which pages do AI engines cite when you ask for an AI search visibility consultant?
Individual consultants' own service pages, one far ahead of the rest. None of the agencies on this list, and no attensira.com page, is among them. The engines name whoever has written a page that matches the question.

Which tools made the list, and in what order?
Attensira is our product, and it is on this list. Its entry says where it falls short, like every other entry.
1iPullRank
A search agency led by Mike King, offering relevance engineering, generative engine optimization, AI search strategy, technical SEO and content. Its AI search page publishes investment ranges by stage, from $30K to $150K for emerging brands up to $500K and more for enterprises.
Best for: A larger brand that wants a senior team, a strategy and research-led work on AI search.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Authority-building and digital PR named
Where it falls short
- The published ranges start at $30K, out of reach for most small companies, and the work is people-led, so pace follows the team's hours.
- Software does the work: People-led service
2Siege Media
A content and digital PR agency that now calls itself a full-service GEO agency for brands, with GEO content creation, digital PR, Reddit marketing and affiliate partnerships among its services.
Best for: A brand that wants content and earned coverage at scale, from an agency with a long content track record.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Digital PR, Reddit marketing and affiliate partnerships named
Where it falls short
- No price is published, and the service is people-led, sized for brands with a content budget.
- Price or budget range published: Not published
- Software does the work: People-led, with its own content technology
3Attensira(us)
Unlike the people-led firms on this list, no person on our side does client work; a crew of AI agents does it, research, articles, page fixes, pitches to cited pages and drafted community replies, and every piece waits for your approval. Plans are published, and Starter includes 300 credits a month for agent work, from $129 a month, and you set the work budget.
Best for: A company that wants an agency's work without a retainer, agency-level AI-search work at a published software price, with you approving each piece.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Pitches and community replies drafted for you to send or post
- Price or budget range published: Starter: 300 credits a month, $129; Growth: 600 credits a month, $349; Business: 1,200 credits a month, $699
- Software does the work: Agents do the work; you approve each piece
Where it falls short
- It is new and names no customers yet, no person on our side does client work, and it reads 5 AI engines at most (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI on Starter, Gemini from Growth; Copilot and DeepSeek coming).
4First Page Sage
A B2B SEO and content agency whose specialties include GEO and AEO and agentic search optimization, and which states that it does not lock clients into long-term contracts.
Best for: A B2B company that wants a content-led agency and short commitments.
Strengths
- Contract terms stated: No long-term contracts, stated
Where it falls short
- No price is published on the page read, and off-site work is not detailed there.
- Price or budget range published: Not published on the page read
- Software does the work: People-led service
5Thrive Internet Marketing Agency
A full-service digital agency with an AI SEO services page alongside link building, digital PR, PPC and web work. Its proposal form asks for a monthly budget, with bands starting at $2,500 to $5,000 a month.
Best for: A business that wants AI SEO inside a broad marketing retainer from one agency.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Link building and digital PR among services
Where it falls short
- The budget bands are a form, not a price, ad spend is excluded, and the service is people-led.
- Software does the work: People-led service
An autonomous GEO agent, Rex, that monitors AI visibility, generates content with schema, refreshes content across a CMS on 30 to 60 day cycles and runs backlink outreach to sources AI cites, working around the clock. Its homepage states cancel anytime.
Best for: A B2B team that wants an agent to run its GEO continuously and is comfortable letting it act.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Automated backlink outreach to sources AI cites
- Contract terms stated: Cancel anytime, stated
- Software does the work: Autonomous agent works 24/7
Where it falls short
- No price is published, and the site does not describe a review step before changes go live.
- Price or budget range published: Not published
7Gushwork
AI marketing agents for small and mid-sized businesses that create pages for AI search and Google, run backlinks and content refreshes, and convert visitors into leads. Pricing is tailored on a call.
Best for: A small business that wants leads from AI search and paid channels from one agent product.
Strengths
- Off-site work stated: Backlinks named among automated work
- Software does the work: AI agents create pages and run refreshes
Where it falls short
- No price is published; the pricing page asks you to talk to the team, and the site does not describe how changes are reviewed.
- Price or budget range published: Tailored on a call
What was each tool judged on?
- Off-site work statedMost AI answers are assembled from other people's pages, comparison posts, reviews and forum threads. An agency that only edits your site leaves the deciding pages untouched. Measured by: Whether the provider's own site names digital PR, link building, outreach or community work as part of the service. Best on this: Siege Media.
- Price or budget range publishedAgency pricing is usually a proposal after a call. A published price or range lets you know before the first meeting whether you are in the same world. Measured by: Whether a price, a plan or an investment range appears on the provider's own site. A full mark needs a plan with a stated price and what it includes. An investment range scores partial, since it says whether you are in budget, not what an amount buys, so iPullRank's published $30K to $500K+ ranges score below Attensira's plan ladder. Best on this: Attensira.
- Contract terms statedAI search results take months to show. A long minimum term shifts that risk to you; a stated short or open term shifts it back. Measured by: Whether the provider's own site states a minimum term, or states that there is none. Best on this: First Page Sage.
- Software does the workPeople-led agencies are limited by hours. Software that does the work can act every day and costs less per piece, if it is reliable and reviewable. Measured by: Whether the provider's own site states that software agents carry out the work, not only that people use AI tools. Best on this: Relixir.
Which agencies do AI engines name when you ask for help?
We track "AI search visibility consultant" in our own workspace, the question a buyer asks when they want someone to do this work, on ChatGPT and Perplexity every day. Most answers define the job and offer to shortlist; in the week of 27 September to 3 October, 9 of 39 named any provider at all.
The answer at the top of this page is one passage of ChatGPT's second sample from 2 October. The whole answer named five small consultancies: Carder Creative, Devendra Saini, Monic AI Systems, Citevora and AI Search Consultancy. None of the agencies on this list was named in any answer across the month, and neither was Attensira. The chart above shows whose pages the engines read instead.
That is the market's real state. The engines name whoever has written a page that matches the question, often a single consultant's service page, not the agencies with the deepest practice. If you are choosing, use the names as a starting set and the criteria below to judge them.
What makes an AI SEO agency different from an SEO agency?
Less than the label suggests, and more than nothing. Most of the work is still SEO: pages that answer buyers' questions clearly, technical health, and authority from other sites. What changes is where the answer comes from. An AI answer to "best X for Y" is assembled from a handful of pages the engine trusts, often comparison articles, review sites and forum threads, and names the brands those pages name.
So an agency worth hiring for AI search does three things well: it writes and fixes the pages that answer the questions, it works the third-party pages and communities the answers draw on, and it measures the answers themselves, engine by engine, rather than only rankings and traffic.
What does Perplexity say the job is?
One sentence, and no names. Asked for a consultant, Perplexity defined the role and cited a consultant's own page first. A buyer gets a job description, not a shortlist, which is why the criteria below matter more than any one answer.
Question: AI search visibility consultant
Perplexity answered: AI search visibility consultant helps brands get cited and recommended in AI-generated answers across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

Researcher · Read this answerStored answer, attensira.com workspace, Attensira MCP · · n=1 answerHow were the four criteria chosen?
Each is something you can check on a provider's own site before a call.
Off-site work stated. Because the deciding pages are mostly not yours. Siege Media wins: digital PR, Reddit marketing and affiliate partnerships are named services. iPullRank, Thrive, Relixir, Gushwork and Attensira also state off-site work.
Price or budget range published. Because agency pricing is usually a proposal. Attensira wins by publishing its plans outright. iPullRank publishes investment ranges by stage, and Thrive's proposal form shows budget bands, which are both more than most agencies show.
Contract terms stated. Because AI search takes months and a long minimum puts the risk on you. First Page Sage wins by stating it does not lock clients into long-term contracts. Relixir states cancel anytime.
Software does the work. Because people-led work is limited by hours. Relixir wins with an autonomous agent working around the clock. Gushwork and Attensira also state that software agents do the work. Relixir states its contrast plainly: hiring a GEO agency for $5k+/mo with a 3-month minimum.
Which kind of provider fits which company?
A large brand with budget and internal stakeholders. A people-led agency such as iPullRank or Siege Media brings senior judgement, relationships with publishers and the ability to work across teams. The published iPullRank ranges tell you the scale it works at.
A B2B company that wants a content-led partner without lock-in. First Page Sage states it does not use long-term contracts.
A business that wants AI SEO inside a broader marketing retainer. Thrive offers AI SEO alongside PPC, social, web and PR.
A team that wants software to run the work continuously. Relixir and Gushwork sell agents rather than people. Check how changes are reviewed before they go live; neither site describes the review step.
A team that wants software to do the work, and to approve each piece. Attensira. The crew works every day, files every piece in one inbox, and nothing leaves your workspace until you approve it.
What would the crew ship for this question?
An example of the work: the Web engineer opens a pull request on your own site that answers the question first and sources every claim. In Draft mode, the default, it waits for you, and prices and names always do.

Web engineer · Opens the pull requestExample · the pull request the crew opens for this questionHow does Attensira do an agency's work?
On day one the crew reads your site, drafts your business profile and takes a first reading of every question you track, on each engine, with the pages cited. It ranks the answers you lose by what is deciding them. Then it works, and each role has a job. The Researcher reads the deciding sources. The Writer drafts new pages and rewrites of existing ones; a fix arrives as a draft pull request on GitHub, a draft in Webflow, WordPress or Notion, or a Shopify change held for your yes. Outreach drafts pitches to the authors of cited pages, sent from your own mailbox. Community drafts replies to the threads that decide answers, for you to post; Attensira never posts to a community itself. The Ads strategist drafts Google Ads campaigns, and nothing is spent until a person approves.
Every shipped change is read again at +7, +14 and +30 days and compared with the week before it, with the number of answers behind the verdict, including when nothing moved.
What does a retainer buy, and what does software change?
A people-led retainer buys hours and judgement: a strategist who learns your business, writers, someone who knows editors at the publications in your category, and a monthly report. The cost follows the hours, and so does the pace. In a month with a launch or a holiday, less happens.
Software changes the unit. An agent does not bill by the hour, so it can read the answers every day, notice the comparison page that started being cited on Tuesday, and draft the pitch the same day. The costs that remain are the model calls and data behind each piece of work. Attensira passes that on as credits spent as the work runs, up to a monthly budget you set, and work that is not delivered is not charged.
What software does not replace is your judgement about what the company will claim. That is why Attensira brings every piece to you, and why anything that states a price, a number or a competitor's name waits for your approval in every mode. The agency's job, done by software; the client's job, still yours.
How long before AI answers change?
Honest providers will not promise a date, and neither will we. Some changes show quickly: a rewrite of a page an engine already cites can move an answer within weeks once the page is crawled again. Others are slow: getting onto a comparison article depends on its author, and an engine may take time to pick up the change. Answers also move for reasons nobody controls, such as model updates.
What you can insist on is a method. For each change, which questions it targets, when it shipped, and what the answers did before and after, with the number of answers behind each figure. Attensira reads each shipped change again at +7, +14 and +30 days and reports a change only when it clears a significance test; inside the noise, the verdict is no change. Ask any provider for the same.
What will you still do yourself?
With any provider, three things stay with you. Deciding which questions matter, because you know which deals they win. Approving what is said about your company, because you are accountable for it. And sending or posting from your own accounts where that is the honest route: a pitch from you to an editor reads differently from one from a vendor, and community replies should come from a real person. Attensira drafts pitches into your own mailbox and replies for you to post. It sends a pitch for you only if you switch that on, in Act mode and after your first ten have gone out by hand, and it never posts a community reply or answers an editor for you.
What should you ask any provider before you sign?
- Which questions will you work on, and how will you choose them? A good answer starts from the
questions your buyers ask, not from keyword volume.
- Which pages decide those answers today? If they cannot tell you, they are guessing.
- What will you change on our site, and what off it? Get both lists.
- How will you measure it, and how many answers will each number rest on? Rates without a sample
size are noise.
- What happens if nothing moves in three months? The honest answer names a reporting method and
a way out.
How was this list made?
Seven providers were shortlisted: four agencies that name AI search, GEO or AEO as a service, two products that sell agents instead of people, and Attensira. Every cell was read from the provider's own site on 4 October 2026 and links to it in the sources below. No provider was contacted. We did not score results or case studies, because none can be verified from outside. The order reflects the depth of AI search practice each site describes and how much a buyer can know before a call. That is why Attensira sits third: below iPullRank and Siege Media, whose sites describe the deepest people-led AI search practice, and above the providers whose sites say less before a call. Attensira is our product and wins one of the four criteria.
When is Attensira the wrong pick?
When you want a senior person to own your strategy and sit in your meetings: no person on our side does client work. When you need an agency with years of named clients: we are new and name none. When your brand needs earned media at scale, a PR-led agency like Siege Media has relationships software does not. Attensira is for the company that wants the work done every day at a price it can read, and wants to approve each piece.
What does Attensira cost?
SEO and GEO are an investment every company now makes for AI search. Attensira gives you agency-level GEO work with tool-level control: research, writing, page fixes, placements and ads. How much you invest is your choice.
There are 3 plans and Enterprise. They differ in how many prompts you optimize towards (Starter 50, Growth 150 and Business 350) and how many credits of agent work a month each includes (300, 600 and 1,200), at 1 credit = 1¢. We sell credits: buy more any time.
