How Asteroid (YC W25) Built AI Search Visibility for Browser Automation

A Y Combinator–backed browser-automation startup partnered with Attensira to get ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity to recommend them when enterprise buyers ask about agentic automation tools.

When enterprises search for browser automation, we want to be visible. Attensira gave us a clear roadmap on how to get there.

Asteroid builds agentic browser-automation infrastructure for enterprise teams. The category is crowded — Browserbase, BrowserUse, Stagehand, Multion, and a stack of incumbents all compete for the same buyer. The decisive discovery surface has shifted from Google to ChatGPT and Claude. Asteroid used Attensira to identify exactly which prompts their ICP was asking AI, where competitors were winning, and to build a content roadmap that earned AI citations within weeks.

The problem: a crowded category, a shifting discovery surface

Enterprise browser automation is one of the most crowded pockets of the agentic AI stack. For Asteroid, the hardest part of go-to-market wasn't building the product — it was making sure that when a platform engineer asked ChatGPT "what's the best browser automation framework for agents," Asteroid's name appeared in the answer. Traditional SEO was slow, expensive, and still optimized for 10 blue links. The real battleground had already moved to AI assistants, where short lists of two to three brands were replacing ranked search results.

What Asteroid did with Attensira

Asteroid used Attensira to track exactly which queries ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini answered in the browser-automation category — and which brands were getting the slots. That prompt-volume data turned into a concrete content roadmap: comparison pages against incumbents, an enterprise-readiness landing page, integration docs for the most common orchestration stacks, and a clear positioning for the agent-first use case. Attensira's page-by-page recommendations told Asteroid's team exactly which pages needed structured data, which needed deeper comparison content, and which keywords AI models were associating with competitors.

The outcome

Within a few weeks of publishing the new pages and tightening structured data on existing ones, Asteroid began appearing in AI-generated answers for its target queries. Attensira's tracking dashboard gave David and the Asteroid team a clear week-over-week signal on which prompts they were gaining, which competitors were losing ground, and where to push next. Instead of guessing, Asteroid shipped with a roadmap — the same approach David would later recommend to other YC founders looking to compound early in AI search.

We didn't want to 'do SEO.' We wanted to be the tool enterprises get recommended when they describe their problem to ChatGPT. Attensira showed us exactly how to get there.

Asteroid's Playbook

The repeatable AI visibility playbook

Steal this exact sequence for your own startup.

  1. 1Map the real ICP prompts — 'best browser automation for AI agents,' 'Browserbase alternatives,' 'headless browser for LLM orchestration.'
  2. 2Audit which answers already exist in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini for those prompts.
  3. 3Identify the brands currently winning each prompt and the pages AI is citing.
  4. 4Build a comparison + integration + use-case content set that matches the questions ICP is actually asking.
  5. 5Tighten structured data on product and docs pages so AI can accurately describe the offering.
  6. 6Re-query weekly. Track which prompts shift. Double down on what works.
