## 1. The Quick Version

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are ours (first-party), some belong to services we use like Google Analytics or ad platforms (third-party). We also use pixels and local storage, which do similar things.

We use them for three reasons: to keep the app working, to understand how people use our site, and to run ads. That's it. The details are below.

## 2. Essential Cookies

These keep the lights on. Authentication, security, remembering that you already told us your cookie preferences. They can't be turned off. If you don't want them, the only option is not using the site.

## 3. Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics and PostHog to see what's working and what's not: how many people visit, which pages they look at, where they drop off. Vercel Analytics also counts page views, but it sets no cookies. No names or emails are attached to this data.

## 4. Advertising Cookies

We run ads on LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, and X. When you visit our site, these platforms can drop a pixel so they know you were here. That's how you end up seeing Attensira ads later on those platforms.

We only set these with your consent. If you said no on the cookie banner, none of this applies to you.

## 5. Your Choices

### Cookie Banner

When you first visit, we ask. You can say yes or no to analytics and advertising cookies right there. Changed your mind? Click the cookie settings link in the footer anytime.

### Browser Settings

Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies. You can block third-party cookies, block cookies from specific sites, or nuke them all when you close the browser. Just know that blocking everything may break parts of the site.

### Opt Out of Targeted Ads

These industry tools let you opt out of targeted advertising across many companies at once:

### Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no industry standard for how to handle it, so we don't currently respond to DNT signals. The controls above are the reliable way to manage tracking.

## 6. International Users

### EEA and UK

If you're in the European Economic Area or UK, we won't set analytics or advertising cookies until you say yes. That's the law (ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, UK GDPR), and we follow it. You can withdraw consent anytime through cookie settings.

### United States

### Everywhere Else

If your local law requires consent before non-essential cookies, we'll ask first. Simple as that.
