## What is Profound?

An AI marketing platform that tracks how brands appear in AI answers and runs an AI Marketer with agents for research, content and reporting, sold on self-serve Starter and Growth plans and a custom Enterprise tier.

## What is Peec AI?

AI search analytics for marketing teams, reporting a brand's visibility, position and sentiment across AI engines and recommending actions, with plans for brands and agencies.

## When should you choose Profound?

Choose Profound when you want tracking and AI Marketer agents that help your team do the work.

## When should you choose Peec AI?

Choose Peec AI when you want clear analytics and recommendations without a platform to run.

## Where does Attensira fit?

Whatever it takes to win the answer. Worth a look if you want the work done rather than shown: Attensira's crew writes, fixes pages and earns placements for your approval, and reports each change per engine with its sample size. Plans differ by prompts and included credits, 300 a month on Starter, and you can buy more credits any time.

## What sets Profound and Peec AI apart?

- Peec AI can be bought from its pricing page from $95 a month; Profound's brand pricing stops at a free trial and an Enterprise quote.
- Peec AI's own site is cited more than twice as often as Profound's in our tracked answers (2,045 against 900 of 100,380), and its most-cited page is an instructions page written for AI engines.
- When we asked both engines to compare the two, the vendors' own sites were among the top sources on both.

## What is the difference between Profound and Peec AI?

The shape of the product. Profound describes itself as an AI marketing platform. It tracks how brands appear in AI answers through Answer Engine Insights, and it sells AI Marketer: agents that help a team research, write and report. Its home page names Agents, Agent Analytics, Prompt Volumes, Shopping and a Context Manager alongside them, and lists enterprise controls such as RBAC, SCIM and SOC 2.

Peec AI describes itself as AI search analytics for marketing teams. Its headline promise is visibility, position and sentiment: how often you appear, where, and in what tone, across the engines it reads. It recommends actions under an Act on Insights heading, and courts agencies with a dedicated page and a partnership programme.

So the question is not which is better. It is whether you want a platform whose agents help a team do the marketing work, or analytics that tell a team where it stands and what to try next.

## What does Profound sell beyond tracking?

More than its reputation suggests. Profound is often summarised as an enterprise monitoring tool, and its tracking is the part most comparisons describe. But its own site leads with AI Marketer, agents trained on what people prompt and what engines cite, metered by AI Marketer credits. Its pricing has also mentioned an Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace.

The agents help a team; they do not replace one. Going by Profound's own description, they help people research, draft and report, and your people still decide, edit and publish. That is a real difference from a pure analytics tool, and worth testing in the trial rather than taking from a summary, ours included.

## How do they price?

Only one of them publishes a price. As read from Profound's pricing page on 5 October 2026, brands get a free 7-day trial, 50 prompts run daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and then Enterprise, custom priced after a demo and tracking up to nine engines. Search results and older reviews still quote cheaper self-serve Starter and Growth plans; neither was on the page. An Agency Growth plan with 400 credits a month per client workspace is mentioned without a figure.

Peec AI's pricing page names four tiers, Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise, aimed at SEO and content managers, SEO teams, multi-project marketing teams and enterprises, with Enterprise through sales. As indexed on 4 October 2026, Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts, Pro $245 for 150 and Advanced $495 for 350, each tracking three models of your choice with unlimited users. So Peec AI can be priced from the page, and Profound only from a quote.

Pricing in this category moves quickly. Write down the date of every quote you are given, because a dated quote is the only number you can hold anyone to.

## Which engines does each one read?

Profound's free trial reads ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; Enterprise tracks up to nine engines, adding Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude and Exa Search. Peec AI lets each plan track three models of your choice, and its home page names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini among them. If Microsoft Copilot matters to your buyers, Peec lists it among the models a Starter plan can choose, and Profound lists it on Enterprise.

Engines also differ in what they read. On this pair prompt both leaned on the two vendors and G2, but the rest of their top sources split: ChatGPT added comparison sites such as Stackmerit and Cituna, Perplexity added HubSpot's blog and Scalenut. A tool that reads more engines is only useful if you look at them separately rather than as one blended score.

## What did the engines say when asked to compare them?

We track "Peec AI vs Profound" as one of the 61 prompts we read daily for our own brand. ChatGPT's answer on 3 October 2026, quoted at the top of this page, put Peec AI with SEO teams, agencies and lean teams and Profound with enterprise marketing teams. Its table described Peec's pricing as transparent self-serve plans and Profound's as mostly enterprise or custom, and it offered a rule of thumb: under about $500 a month and mainly tracking, Peec; a dedicated AI search team with analysts, Profound.

Perplexity was shorter, and on one point sharper. It called Profound "a deeper, agentic marketing platform with content generation", which is closer to how Profound describes itself than the "monitoring" label it often gets.

## Which sources shaped those answers?

The vendors, mostly. In the 30 days to 4 October 2026, peec.ai was the most-cited domain in ChatGPT's answers to the prompt, and tryprofound.com the most-cited in Perplexity's. A G2 comparison page sat between them on ChatGPT.

The lesson for a buyer is to use the answer as a map of the territory and the vendors' own pages as the facts. The lesson for a vendor is that publishing a careful, factual comparison of yourself against a named competitor is one of the most direct ways to shape how an engine describes the pair. Across all 61 prompts we track, peec.ai is the fifth most-cited domain, and its single most-cited page is an instructions page written for AI engines.

### Whose pages decided the answers?

Over 30 days of answers to "Peec AI vs Profound", both vendors' own sites were among the most-cited sources on both engines. ChatGPT leaned hardest on peec.ai; Perplexity cited tryprofound.com slightly more. Attensira was named in none of the 24 answers.

## Who is each one for?

Profound's free trial lets a small team see it on 50 prompts, but its breadth is aimed at a large brand with a team that will use a platform every day: analysts reading prompt volumes, content people working with AI Marketer agents, and procurement that wants SOC 2 and SCIM in the contract. For that buyer, Profound's breadth is the point.

Peec AI is for a marketing team or an agency that wants clean reporting on visibility, position and sentiment, with recommendations, and does not want a platform to operate. Its tiers are described in terms of team size and number of projects, which suits an agency adding clients one at a time.

## What does neither one do?

Going by what each company publishes, the work itself stays with your team. Profound's agents help your people research, write and report; your people still decide, edit, publish and handle the off-site work. Peec AI recommends; your people act. Neither page, as read on 4 October 2026, describes shipping changes into your site or earning placements on the third-party pages that answers cite.

That is a fair description of the category, not a criticism of either. If your problem is that there is no team, that is the gap to solve first.

## How visible is each one in AI answers?

Both are among the names engines reach for first. Across the 61 prompts we track on ChatGPT and Perplexity, Profound was named in 26.8% of 4,967 competitor answer slots in the 30 days to 4 October 2026, the most of any rival we track, and Peec AI in 19.9%. On the pair prompt itself, Profound was named in all 24 answers, and Attensira in none of them.

Two cautions. Our prompt set includes prompts that name these tools, such as "Peec AI alternatives" and "Peec AI vs Profound", so the rates describe our corner of the category, not the market. And a vendor's visibility in AI answers says how well it is marketed to engines, which is a skill, but not the same skill as the product you are buying.

## What should a small team do?

Be honest about the next six months. A team of one or two marketers with no analyst will not use most of an enterprise platform, and may not have time to act on an analytics tool's recommendations either. For that team, the useful question is not Profound or Peec AI but who will do the work once the dashboard shows where the gaps are.

If the answer is "us, on Fridays", a lighter analytics tool and a disciplined weekly routine may be enough. If the answer is "nobody", buying better information will not change the outcome; spend the budget on capacity, whether that is a person, an agency or software that does the work.

## What should you ask in procurement?

For Profound: what Enterprise costs for your prompt count, engine list and seats; how AI Marketer credits are allocated and what happens when they run out; and which of the nine engines your contract includes. For Peec AI: the price of any extra models, which engines it includes, how projects and countries are counted, and the trial terms. For both: how each tool shows the sample size behind a rate, and how it separates a real change from noise.

## How should you evaluate them?

Start Profound's free trial with the prompts you would really track, and start Peec AI's trial on the same set. Run both for the same week. Then compare where they agree about your visibility, how each one shows the sample size behind a rate, how quickly you can go from a finding to a change on your site, and what each would cost for your real prompt count and team.

If you are an agency, also compare client workspaces, client-facing reports and pricing per client. Profound's credits-per-workspace model and Peec AI's project-based tiers are different bets about how agencies grow. Whichever you choose, decide in advance who on your team turns findings into changes, because that person determines the return far more than the tool does.
