**In short:** Relixir and Attensira both put AI agents on GEO work. Relixir's Rex is set up and managed by Relixir's own team and refreshes content on autonomous cycles, priced after a demo. Attensira is self-serve: its crew works daily toward the questions you lose, waits for your approval and measures each change.

## Verdict

Relixir and Attensira agree that the work matters more than the dashboard. They disagree on who holds the controls. Relixir's team runs Rex for you on autonomous cycles; Attensira hands you the controls and a crew that asks before anything goes out.

## The readings on this page

### The answer at the top of the page

Stored ChatGPT answer to “alternative to hiring a GEO agency”, asked 3 Oct 2026 (n=1 answer, attensira.com workspace, Attensira MCP).

> Use a GEO monitoring platform + freelancer. Instead of paying an agency $5k–$15k+/month, use a monitoring/visibility tool to identify: prompts where you're absent, competitors being cited, sources AI engines rely on, citation/mention changes over time. Then hire a good SEO/content freelancer to execute the fixes. Current industry comparisons put many self-serve GEO platforms around $200–$500/month, versus substantially more for agency retainers.

### Who gets named when a buyer asks for a tool that implements the fixes?

The question Relixir and Attensira both answer is almost unclaimed: in 60 answers engines named a product only nine times, and neither of us once.

### What alternatives does Perplexity list?

Three: in-house work, a fixed-scope audit or consultant, and software that monitors and automates action. Relixir and Attensira both sit in the third, unnamed. The answer describes the category we are both in; neither of us owns it yet.

Stored Perplexity answer to “alternative to hiring a GEO agency”, asked 4 Oct 2026 (n=1 answer, attensira.com workspace, Attensira MCP).

> If you want concise options, here are common alternatives: In-house GEO work with a defined framework and training. Fixed-scope, short-term audits or fractional consultant engagements. Software-enabled monitoring and optimization tools (monitoring + action automation).

## What is Attensira?

Attensira is software that does your AI-search visibility work: whatever it takes to win the answer.

Where Relixir's team runs its agent Rex for you on autonomous cycles, Attensira hands you the controls: new workspaces start in Draft, nothing leaves until you approve it, and claims about price, numbers or competitors wait for a person in every mode.

## What is Relixir?

An autonomous GEO agent, Rex, that generates GEO-optimised content, refreshes it on 30 to 60 day cycles and tracks AI citations and recommendations. Relixir describes Rex as forward-deployed, configured, launched and managed by Relixir's own team.

## When is neither the right choice?

Neither fits a company still settling its pricing or positioning. Relixir's managed agent writes and refreshes content, and our crew writes and pitches, from what you have published; until the story is stable, that work would be redone within weeks.

## What sets Attensira and Relixir apart?

- Relixir and Attensira are both agents that do GEO work, unlike most products compared on this site; the line between them is who holds the controls, a vendor team running Rex for you or a crew you run that asks before anything leaves.
- Relixir refreshes content on autonomous 30 to 60 day cycles; Attensira does no autonomous publishing of claims in any mode and decides each day's work from the questions you are losing that morning.
- Relixir prices on a demo and Attensira publishes a plan with a trial, a credit allowance and a budget ceiling you set, so one can be bought today from public information and the other cannot.

## Who gets named when a buyer asks for a tool that implements the fixes?

The question Relixir and Attensira both answer is almost unclaimed: in 60 answers engines named a product only nine times, and neither of us once.

## What do AI engines tell someone looking for an alternative to a GEO agency?

We track "alternative to hiring a GEO agency" for our own site, because it is the question both Relixir and Attensira exist to answer. On 3 October 2026 ChatGPT answered it without naming a single product. It suggested building GEO in-house, pairing a monitoring tool with a freelancer, hiring a fractional specialist, or treating GEO as an extension of SEO and PR, and it put agency retainers in the thousands of dollars a month.

Neither of us was in that answer. From 21 September to 4 October 2026, ChatGPT and Perplexity gave 3,534 answers to the 61 questions we track. Relixir appeared in one of the 3,666 competitor readings in that window. Attensira was named in 197 answers, every one on the three questions that already contain our name. For the buyer this page is written for, the honest summary is that AI engines do not yet know either product as an answer to "how do I get this done without an agency?". That is the gap both of us are trying to close.

## What does Relixir sell?

Relixir's homepage, read on 4 October 2026, describes an autonomous AI agent called Rex that performs GEO so that "your brand gets recommended" across AI search. Rex generates GEO-optimised content, runs autonomous content refresh cycles every 30 to 60 days, and tracks AI citations and recommendations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Relixir says it serves "400+ Fastest Growing B2B teams".

Two details shape the offer. First, Rex is "forward-deployed": Relixir's team configures, launches and manages Rex for each business. Second, pricing is custom; the homepage routes buyers to book a demo, and the only figure on it is a comparison to traditional agencies costing $5k+ a month.

So Relixir sits between an agency and software. The work is done by an agent, but a vendor team owns the setup and management.

## Who holds the controls on each side?

Relixir and Attensira start from the same belief: the hard part of AI search is the work, not the dashboard. We differ on who should hold the controls.

Relixir's answer is a managed agent. You hand the problem over; Relixir's team sets Rex up and Rex runs its cycles. The appeal is obvious for a busy team: nothing to configure, and someone accountable on the vendor side.

Attensira's answer is a crew you run, that asks before it acts. Attensira is an AI-native SEO agency run by software: the service of an SEO agency at the price of a tool. You sign up, the crew reads your site and drafts your business profile, and each morning it does up to three pieces of work toward the questions you are losing. Every piece lands in your inbox for a decision: approve, edit, or decline with a note the crew reads before its next attempt.

The controls are written down. New workspaces start in Draft, where nothing leaves the workspace until you approve it. You can let hygiene work, such as structured data and alt text, go on its own. Anything that states a claim, a price, a number, a product or competitor name, waits for a person in every mode. No person on our side does your work; there is nobody to brief, and nobody to wait for.

## Is autonomous content refresh a good idea?

It can be. Content that answers AI questions goes stale as products, prices and competitors change, and a page that was right last quarter can be quoted wrongly this quarter. Refreshing it on a schedule addresses that.

The risk is the same as with any autonomous publishing: a refreshed page can introduce a wrong number or a claim nobody checked, and on a cycle nobody watches it goes out anyway. Relixir's homepage does not describe what Rex may change on its own and what waits for a person; that is the question to ask on the demo.

Attensira's approach to staleness is different in kind. The crew re-reads your pages and the answers that cite them, and when a page drifts out of date it proposes the change like any other: a diff you read, waiting for your yes if it states a claim. It found one on our own site this month, a comparison page saying we read more engines than we do, and that fix waited for a person, as the rule says it must.

## Where is Relixir the better choice?

**You want a vendor team to run it.** If you would rather have someone on the vendor side configure and manage the agent, Relixir offers that and we do not.

**You are comfortable with autonomous refreshes.** If you want content kept fresh without reviewing each change, Rex's cycles do that by design.

**You buy through demos and custom quotes.** Some companies prefer a sales process with a tailored proposal; Relixir is built for that.

## Where is Attensira the better choice?

**You want to start today.** Our plan is published, with a trial on the entry plan, and you can be set up from the dashboard or from your own AI assistant over MCP without speaking to anyone.

**You want to see every change first.** Fixes arrive as draft pull requests on your repository or unpublished drafts in Webflow or WordPress; outreach goes from your own mailbox; community replies are drafted for you to post.

**You want proof per change.** Each shipped change is re-read at +7, +14 and +30 days against the week before, with the number of answers behind the verdict, and "no change" is reported as plainly as a win.

**You want the work to include other people's pages.** The crew starts with pages an engine already cites for your question that name a competitor and not you, and drafts the pitch or listing. Relixir's homepage describes content generation and refresh; it does not describe outreach.

## How do the costs compare?

Relixir's price is a custom quote after a demo, so we cannot compare it, and a buyer cannot either until after the first call, and the quote may differ from one company to the next.

Attensira's is credits-first and public. The plan fee includes monitoring and a monthly allowance of credits; agents spend credits as they work; a monthly budget you set caps what the work can be charged, and it is shown as the articles, page fixes and pitches it buys before you agree; committed work we do not deliver is credited back on the first of the month.

## What does each model ask of your week?

A managed agent and a self-serve crew put different demands on your calendar, and it is worth being concrete.

With a managed agent, the setup is the vendor's job, and the ongoing work is mostly theirs too. Your time goes into the kickoff, periodic reviews with the vendor team, and whatever review of published content you negotiate. If your team has no appetite for a weekly inbox, that is a real advantage.

With Attensira, setup takes minutes: the crew reads your site, drafts your business profile and proposes competitors and questions, and you keep or change them. After that, your time goes into decisions. Each morning's work arrives in one inbox with what it changes, where it lands and which questions it targets. Most items take a minute to approve, edit or decline. A morning brief summarises what changed overnight. If you connect an assistant over MCP, you can do all of it from Claude or ChatGPT without opening the dashboard.

The trade is control against delegation. Managed agents ask less of you and show you less. A self-serve crew asks for a few minutes a day and shows you every change before it ships, which matters most on the day an agent gets something wrong. Agents do get things wrong. The useful question is not whether a vendor's agent will make a mistake, but whether you will see it before your buyers do, and how quickly the next attempt will reflect what you told it.

## What should you ask Relixir on the demo?

Ask what Rex may publish without a person's yes, and what always waits. Ask where its changes appear, in your CMS, your repository, or a layer Relixir hosts, and whether you can read each diff before it goes live. Ask how they will show you whether a specific refresh moved a specific answer, and on how many readings. Those are the questions our documentation answers for us; any vendor running an agent on your site should answer them in writing.

## How did we check this page?

Relixir's facts come from relixir.ai, fetched on 4 October 2026 and cited cell by cell below; Relixir publishes no pricing page. Attensira's facts come from docs.attensira.com, with our prices, credits and engines rendered from the same source as our pricing page. ## FAQ

### How is Attensira different from Relixir?

Both put an AI agent to work on GEO. Relixir's agent, Rex, is forward-deployed, meaning Relixir's team configures, launches and manages it for you, and it generates and refreshes content on its own cycles. Attensira's crew is self-serve, does daily work toward the questions you lose, and waits for your approval.

### How much does Relixir cost?

Relixir's homepage showed custom pricing and routed buyers to book a demo when we read it on 4 October 2026. No plan price was published.

### What does Attensira cost?

Attensira starts at $129 a month on Starter, with 300 credits for agent work included and a 7-day free trial, card required. Agents spend credits as they work, up to a monthly budget you set from $500 to $5,000.

### Does Relixir publish without approval?

Relixir's homepage describes autonomous content refresh cycles every 30 to 60 days and a team that manages Rex for you; it does not describe an approval step. Attensira starts every workspace in Draft mode, so nothing leaves the workspace until you approve it, and claims wait in every mode.

### Which AI engines does each track?

Relixir's homepage names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Attensira reads ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI, with ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI on Starter, and Copilot and DeepSeek coming but not read yet.

### Is Relixir an agency or software?

Something in between. It describes Rex as an autonomous agent, and also says its team configures, launches and manages Rex for each customer. Attensira is software you run yourself, an AI-native SEO agency run by software, with no person on our side doing client work.
