**In short:** The main BrightEdge alternatives are Conductor for an enterprise SEO and content platform, Profound for enterprise AI answer tracking with agents, and Semrush, AthenaHQ or Scrunch for published prices and a self-serve start. Choose Attensira when you lack the team an enterprise platform assumes: its agents do the SEO work and you approve.

## Who do AI engines name for AI search visibility software?

The self-serve trackers and the SEO suites. BrightEdge appeared once, folded into "BrightEdge / Conductor / similar SEO suites". This is the category question an enterprise buyer asks before a shortlist; we do not yet track a BrightEdge-specific one.

### Do AI engines name BrightEdge when buyers ask for AI search visibility software?

Rarely. We do not track a BrightEdge-specific question. We do track "AI search visibility software", the category question an enterprise buyer asks before a shortlist, on ChatGPT and Perplexity every day. Over the month in the chart above, BrightEdge appeared in one answer, as part of a "BrightEdge / Conductor / similar SEO suites" row. Attensira was not named at all.

Where BrightEdge does appear is in answers about scale. The answer at the top of this page is Perplexity's from 30 September to a related question we track, "best AI search visibility tools for agencies": it lists BrightEdge AI Catalyst "for large enterprises and multi-brand needs", beside Semrush, Indexly, Profound and Conductor. Asked for the category itself, both engines shortlist Profound, Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Semrush and Ahrefs, the tools that lead the count in the chart.

Two things follow for a buyer. First, the engines repeat whoever has written the most-cited list, and vendors write those lists, so an enterprise platform with no public price can be absent from the answer even when it is a real option. Second, a single answer is a single draw; read several before you treat a shortlist as the market. Our pages state the sample size behind every count for that reason.

### Where does each engine look for this category?

Perplexity leans on software review directories, ChatGPT on comparison posts. A platform with thin directory listings and no public price gives both engines little to quote, which is how a real enterprise option drops out of the answer.

### What does BrightEdge offer for AI search?

A lot. Its site lists AI Hyper Cube, which looks at the AI conversations shaping demand; AI Catalyst for content strategy; AI Agent Insights, which tracks AI agent activity on your site; Agent Edge, which optimizes and serves AI-ready content; a Site Agents Suite that automates technical SEO; AI-assisted content briefs and drafts; an SEO Copilot for suggestions; and an MCP connection to your own AI tools. Underneath sits the SEO data and reporting BrightEdge built its name on.

So the question is not whether BrightEdge does AI search. It does, broadly. The question is whether the enterprise model, a contract, onboarding and a team to operate the platform, fits the company you are.

### Who should stay on BrightEdge?

Large organisations with an SEO team, many sites or markets, and procurement that expects an enterprise vendor. For them, the breadth is the point: one platform for research, content, site health and reporting, with people at BrightEdge to help. Moving off it means stitching several tools together, and the saving can disappear into the stitching.

### Who does better elsewhere?

Three kinds of team, in our reading of what each alternative offers.

**The mid-market team that wants enterprise-grade data without the contract.** Semrush publishes its prices and lets you start with a trial; its enterprise solutions are there if you grow into them. AthenaHQ publishes a free tier and Starter, with SSO and audit logs on Enterprise. Scrunch publishes Starter and Growth and offers a trial without a card.

**The enterprise team that wants to focus on AI answers.** Profound is built for that: up to nine answer engines, prompt volume data and agents your team can run. Conductor is the like-for-like enterprise SEO platform if you want to switch suites rather than focus.

**The company without an SEO team.** Every platform above assumes someone will act on what it shows. Attensira assumes the opposite. It is an AI-native SEO agency run by software: a crew of AI agents reads the answers and Search Console every day, finds why you lose, and does the work, with you approving each piece.

### How do enterprise and self-serve pricing compare?

They answer different questions. Enterprise pricing is a conversation about scope: sites, markets, users, data volume and services. Self-serve pricing is a table you can read today. Neither is cheaper by nature; enterprise deals include people and onboarding that self-serve plans do not.

What you can compare is total cost for a defined job. Write down the prompts and keywords you need tracked, the engines and markets, the number of people who need access, and the work you expect to happen each month: articles, page fixes, outreach. Then price each option for that. For an enterprise platform, add the internal team that runs it. For a tracker, add the people who act on it. For Attensira, the work is in the bill, paid in credits as it runs, capped by a monthly budget you set, and work not delivered is not charged.

### What does the work look like without an SEO department?

Imagine a company of fifty people with one marketer. The AI answers for its main buying question name three competitors, because two comparison articles and one review site list them. BrightEdge would show this clearly and suggest content. Someone would still need to write the page, fix the product page that should have answered the question, and persuade the article authors to add the company.

With Attensira, those are three work items in one inbox. The new page arrives as a draft. The fix to the product page arrives as a draft pull request on GitHub, or a draft in Webflow, WordPress, Shopify or Notion. The pitch to the article author is written for the marketer to send from their own mailbox. Nothing goes out until it is approved. After it ships, the prompt is read again at +7, +14 and +30 days, and the result is reported with the number of answers behind it, including when nothing moved.

### Do you need work on how AI agents read your site?

BrightEdge's Agent Edge and Scrunch's agent-facing features address a real shift: AI assistants increasingly fetch pages on a user's behalf and read them as text, not as a browser renders them. A page that relies on scripts to show its content, hides its prices in images, or gives no plain statement of what the product does is harder for an assistant to quote correctly.

Most of the fixes are unglamorous and cheap: content that is in the HTML when it arrives, structured data that says what the page is, a clear answer near the top, a sitemap that lists the pages that matter, and a robots.txt that does not block the assistants you want to be read by. You can check several of these yourself with free tools, including the AI crawler inspector, schema validator and llms.txt generator on our tools page, before paying anyone.

Where Attensira fits is the doing. The same fixes, structured data, meta descriptions, internal links, headings, are what its crew files as safe changes. In the default mode they wait for your approval like everything else; if you switch to Act mode, safe changes like these can go through on their own, while anything that states a claim still waits.

### What should leadership see each month?

Enterprise platforms are good at reports, and leaving one means deciding which reports matter. In our view three are enough for AI search.

The first is presence: for the questions that drive revenue, how often each engine names you, with the number of answers behind each rate, beside the competitors named instead. The second is work: what was changed this month, where, and when. The third is effect: for each change that shipped long enough ago, did the answers move, by how much, and with what confidence, including the changes that moved nothing.

Most tools give you the first. The second depends on who did the work. The third needs a before-and-after method that ties each change to the prompts it targeted. Attensira produces all three, because it does the work and reads the answers again at +7, +14 and +30 days after each change ships.

### How quickly can each option start?

Self-serve tools start the day you sign up; the first reading arrives within a day or two, and the first useful trend within a few weeks. Enterprise platforms start after the contract and onboarding, which can take weeks, though they arrive configured for your sites and markets.

Attensira starts the day you sign up. On day one the crew reads your site and drafts your business profile, then takes a first reading of every prompt you track. Within the first week the answers you lose are ranked and the first work arrives in your inbox for approval.

### What does a switch from an enterprise platform involve?

Plan the exit before the renewal date. Export the history you will want as a baseline, keyword and AI answer data both, with dates. Decide which reports leadership actually reads, because those are the ones the new setup must reproduce. Move the prompts and competitors first; they are small, and they drive everything else. Keep a research tool if your team uses one every week. Run the old and new side by side for a month if the contract allows it, comparing the same prompts with their sample sizes.

### How was this list made?

BrightEdge's offer was read from its own homepage on 4 October 2026, as were the pricing pages of every alternative, and each fact links to its source below. BrightEdge and Conductor publish no prices, and we say so rather than estimate. Semrush showed prices in pounds to our connection. No vendor was contacted. The readout and counts come from our own tracked prompt "AI search visibility software", read through the Attensira MCP. Attensira is our product and its entry lists its shortfalls.

### When is Attensira the wrong choice?

When you need an enterprise suite: research across many markets, SSO-led procurement, a keyword database, and a vendor team on call. When you already have an SEO department that turns findings into changes every week. Attensira is for the company that needs the work done and does not have the people, and wants the service of an SEO agency at the price of a tool.

## FAQ

### What is the best BrightEdge alternative?

For another enterprise platform, Conductor. For enterprise AI answer tracking with agents, Profound. For a self-serve start with published prices, Semrush, AthenaHQ or Scrunch. For a team without an SEO department that wants the work done, Attensira, where a crew of agents does the SEO work and you approve each piece.

### How much does BrightEdge cost?

BrightEdge does not publish prices. Its site offers a demo, and pricing is agreed with sales. Among the alternatives, AthenaHQ Starter is $295 a month and Scrunch Starter $300 a month month to month, both published; Conductor and Profound Enterprise are also quoted after a conversation.

### Does BrightEdge track ChatGPT and AI Overviews?

Yes. Its site describes one platform to win across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, with AI Hyper Cube for AI search demand and AI Agent Insights for AI agent activity.

### Is there a self-serve alternative to BrightEdge?

Several. Semrush, AthenaHQ and Scrunch publish prices and let you start with a trial. Attensira also publishes its plans, starts with a 7-day free trial, card required and needs no demo, though you can book one.

### Can Attensira replace an enterprise SEO platform?

Not for every enterprise need. It has no keyword research database or SSO-led procurement path. It replaces the work an enterprise platform assumes your team will do, writing, fixing pages, earning placements, and measures each change in AI answers and Search Console.
