**In short:** The closest AthenaHQ alternatives are Peec AI for analytics-first reporting, Profound for enterprise engine coverage, Scrunch for work on how AI agents read your site and Otterly.AI for the lowest published price. Pick Attensira when you want the SEO work done for you: its agents write, fix and earn placements, and you approve each piece.

## Who do AI engines name for AthenaHQ alternatives?

AthenaHQ itself, in every answer, then Profound and Peec AI. Engines name the tools they have read the most about, so this measures fame, not fit. Attensira is not named yet, and closing that gap is the same work our crew does for customers.

### What do AI engines name when you ask for AthenaHQ alternatives?

We track the question "AthenaHQ alternatives" in our own Attensira workspace, the same way a customer tracks theirs, on ChatGPT and Perplexity every day. The chart above shows who the answers named. AthenaHQ leads its own question, Profound and Peec AI follow, and Attensira is not named. That is the honest starting point for this page; we are not going to pretend a ranking we have not earned in the answers themselves.

Two other things in those readings are worth knowing before you choose. First, the answers lean on a small set of pages: "AthenaHQ alternatives" posts on other vendors' blogs, review sites and AthenaHQ's own site. A list written by a vendor tends to put that vendor near the top, which is why every fact below links to the vendor's own pricing page instead. Second, the same reading, sampled three times at once, produced three different shortlists. One sample is one draw. Read any single answer, ours included, as a sample, not a verdict. To see the same thing for your own category, ask one buying question on both engines on two different days and compare the shortlists side by side.

### Which pages do those answers lean on?

Mostly on other vendors' "AthenaHQ alternatives" posts, and on AthenaHQ's own site. If you sell in this category, those posts are the pages to get onto, through a short pitch to each author, before you write one more page of your own.

### What does AthenaHQ do well, and where does it pinch?

AthenaHQ is a capable product. Its pricing page lists eleven models on Starter, including Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, which is wider than any other self-serve plan here. It has a content optimization agent and on-page and off-page actions. So the reasons people leave are rarely "it cannot do the job".

The first reason is the price step. The Essential tier is free with $25 of credit, then Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits, and one credit is one AI response. A team that wants daily readings across many prompts and models spends that allowance fast, because every model and every sample is a response.

The second is shape. Some teams want a smaller, cheaper tracker and will do the work themselves. Otterly.AI and Peec AI fit that.

The third is the opposite: the team has the dashboard but nobody to act on it. The recommendations pile up, because the writer, the developer and the person who pitches other sites are all busy. That is the gap an agency fills, and the gap Attensira was built for.

### How do you choose between tracking and having the work done?

Ask one question first: after the tool tells you why an answer names a competitor, who changes the answer?

If you have a content lead, a developer and time each week, a tracker is enough, and the cheapest one that reads the engines your buyers use is the right buy. Otterly.AI, Peec AI and Scrunch are all sound trackers, and Scrunch adds real work on how AI agents fetch your site.

If nobody on your team owns that work, a tracker produces a to-do list. Attensira is built the other way round. A crew of AI agents reads the answers every day, finds why you are missing, and does the work: an article, a fix to an existing page, a pitch to a site the answers already cite, a reply drafted for a Reddit thread the answers lean on. Each piece arrives in one inbox. A page fix lands as a draft pull request on GitHub or a draft in your CMS. Nothing leaves your workspace until you approve it, and anything that states a price, a number or a competitor name waits for your yes in every mode.

### What does switching from AthenaHQ involve?

Less than you would think, because the unit you move is a list of prompts.

1. Export the prompts you track in AthenaHQ, and the competitors you watch.

1. Drop the ones nobody would type. A prompt is worth tracking if a buyer would ask it

before choosing a product like yours.

1. Add them to the new tool and let it take a first reading. Expect your numbers to

differ from AthenaHQ's for a week or two: engines, sampling and the way each tool decides that a brand was "named" are not the same.

1. Compare like with like. A number with no sample size beside it cannot be compared

with anything, so ask each tool how many answers sit behind a rate.

In Attensira, the first reading also produces the first work: the answers you lose, ranked, with the sources that decided them, and the pieces the crew proposes to change them.

### How far do AthenaHQ's credits go?

AthenaHQ publishes enough to do the arithmetic, which is more than most vendors do. Starter includes 3,600 credits a month, and one credit is one AI response. Spread over a 30-day month, that is 120 responses a day.

What a "response" is matters. Read one prompt on four models once a day and you spend four credits a day on it. So 120 responses a day covers 30 prompts on four models, read once each. Read the same 30 prompts on all eleven models and the allowance lasts about eleven days. Sample each answer three times, which is what it takes to tell a real movement from noise, and you are back to ten prompts.

None of this makes AthenaHQ expensive or cheap. It makes the comparison concrete. When you look at an alternative, convert its allowance into the same unit: prompts, times engines, times samples, times days. Otterly.AI counts prompts and reads each once a day on its included engines. Scrunch counts custom prompts. Attensira counts prompt slots and a monthly response budget, and its plans state the sampling depth outright: one sample per reading on the entry plan, three from Growth up. The tool that looks cheaper per month can be the more expensive one per answer read, and the other way round.

### What should you ask on a trial before you switch?

Most of these tools have a trial or a free tier, so you can test before you pay. Use the trial to answer five questions, in this order.

- **Does it read the engines your buyers use?** If your buyers live in ChatGPT and

Google, a tool that adds Grok and Mistral is not better for you, it is broader.

- **How many answers sit behind each rate?** Ask for the sample size. A rate built on

six answers moves every day for no reason.

- **Can you see the answer itself?** You will want to read the text, and the pages it

cited, not only a score. Every tool here shows some of this; check how much.

- **What happens after the finding?** A recommendation, a draft, or a change on your

site? Write down who on your team does each step.

- **What does a normal month cost?** Not the entry price: the plan your prompt list

needs, plus add-on engines, plus credits.

Run the same ten prompts through each trial in the same week, and the differences show up quickly. Our free audit at attensira.com/audit does a version of this on your own domain without a signup: four engines, eight buying questions, and who got named instead of you.

### How was this list made?

Every price, plan and engine count on this page was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 4 October 2026, and each one links to that page in the sources below. No vendor was contacted and no third-party roundup was used. Where a pricing page did not show a price, we say so instead of guessing; Peec AI's page showed plan names but no amounts when we read it.

The order reflects how directly each tool replaces AthenaHQ for the most common reason people leave. It is not a score. Attensira is our product, and its entry lists where it falls short like every other entry.

The answer counts come from our own tracked prompt, read through the Attensira MCP for the attensira.com workspace. They are a dated sample with its size stated, not a market share.

### When is Attensira the wrong choice?

When you want the widest engine list at the lowest price, Attensira is not it: it reads fewer engines than AthenaHQ, and Starter samples each prompt once per reading. When your team already does the work well and only needs a measurement layer, a tracker is the cheaper and simpler buy. And if you need white-label client reports from day one, note that white label is not on any plan sold today.

When it is the right choice, it is because of who does the work. An agency would do the same things, research, writing, fixes to existing pages, pitches to the sites answers cite, but through people, on a retainer, slowly. A tracker would tell you what to do and leave it with you. Attensira does the work every day in your own repository, CMS and mailbox, shows you each piece before it goes out, and re-reads the answers at +7, +14 and +30 days after a change ships, so you see what it moved and what it did not, with the number of answers behind each verdict.

## FAQ

### What is the best AthenaHQ alternative?

It depends on why you are leaving. For the same kind of tracking at a lower published price, Otterly.AI. For analytics-first reporting, Peec AI. For enterprise coverage of more engines, Profound. If what you actually want is the work AthenaHQ recommends done for you and measured, Attensira, where agents do the SEO work and you approve it.

### Is there a cheaper alternative to AthenaHQ?

Yes. Otterly.AI publishes Lite at $29 a month for 15 prompts, and Writesonic Starter is $79 a month billed annually. Both read fewer engines than AthenaHQ's eleven, so cheaper here also means narrower. AthenaHQ's own free Essential tier, with $25 of credit, is worth trying before you switch at all.

### Does AthenaHQ do the work, or only track?

It does more than track. Its pricing page lists a content optimization agent and on-page and off-page actions on Starter. The difference with Attensira is who carries the work to your site and how it is paid for, in credits per response on AthenaHQ, in credits for the work itself on Attensira, up to a budget you set.

### Which AthenaHQ alternative covers the most AI engines?

Profound, with up to nine answer engines on Enterprise. AthenaHQ itself lists eleven on Starter, which is more than any self-serve alternative here. Attensira reads 5 today (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI, with Gemini from Growth), and Copilot and DeepSeek are coming.

### Why is Attensira on this list if ChatGPT never names it?

Because the list answers who replaces AthenaHQ, not who AI answers mention today. In the 66 answers we read, Attensira was named in none. We say so, and we show it, because closing exactly that kind of gap is the work our crew does for customers.
